Jasmin Bhasin was born on 28 June 1990 in Kota, Rajasthan, and grew up in the Raja Park neighborhood. She comes from a middle-class family; her parents are Surpal Bhasin and Gurmeet Kaur Bhasin, and she has a brother, Mankaran Singh. Jasmin spent childhood summers in Jaipur with her maternal grandparents and has shared memories of visiting her grandfather’s shop in Bapu Bazaar.

Jasmin completed a graduation in hospitality. Early in her working life she took internships — including a marketing internship with American Express and another in the hospitality field — and it was during an early modelling assignment that she was first noticed for on-camera work.
