Jaydev Dipakbhai Unadkat was born on 18 October 1991 in Porbandar, Gujarat. Raised in a family that includes his father Deepak Unadkat and a sister named Dheera, he grew up in the coastal town that is also listed as his hometown. Unadkat made his mark as a left-arm fast‑medium bowler and a right‑handed lower‑order bat.
