Early life and backgroundJetsun Pema Wangchuck was born on 4 June 1990 at the Jigme Dorji Wangchuck National Referral Hospital in Thimphu. Her father, Dhondup Gyaltshen, worked as a commercial pilot, and her mother is Aum Sonam Choki.
