Jheel Mehta was born on 28 June 1998 in Mumbai, India. Raised in the city where she continues to be based, she comes from Gujarati roots. She attended DAV Public School and Chatrabhuj Narsee Memorial School during her formative years and went on to study commerce at Narsee Monjee College of Commerce and Economics before completing a BBA at SVKM’s Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS).

She began working in entertainment at a very young age, starting her career as a child artist at around nine years old. Mehta balanced early acting work with schooling and later stepped away from a regular television role to focus on her SSC exams when she was 14.
