Jonathan Marc Bairstow was born on 26 September 1989 in Bradford, Yorkshire, England. Raised in a cricketing household, his father David Bairstow and brother Andrew Bairstow both played professionally, making Jonny part of a father-and-son lineage that has represented England in Test cricket.
