Kajal Aggarwal was born on 19 June 1985 in Mumbai. Raised in a Punjabi family, she grew up with her parents and a younger sister, Nisha Aggarwal, who is also an actress. Kajal completed her schooling at Sant Anne's High School in Mumbai and went on to study at Jai Hind College before graduating in mass media from Kishinchand Chellaram College.
