Kamakshi Bhaskarla was born on 18 June 1995 in Andhra Pradesh and grew up between Tamil Nadu and Hyderabad, Telangana. She attended Brilliant Grammar High School in Hyderabad before moving abroad for medical studies. Kamakshi completed an MBBS degree from Guangxi Medical University in China and later worked as an intern doctor there. After returning to India she also worked at Apollo Hospital.
