Kapil Mishra was born on 13 November 1980 in Delhi, India. He completed postgraduate studies at the University of Delhi, earning an M.A. in Social Work in 2006. He is the son of Rameshwar Prasad and Annapurna Mishra; his mother has been active in local politics as a former East Delhi mayor and BJP councillor.

Career

Mishra entered public life through activism around labour and governance issues. He gained attention for work tied to the Commonwealth Games, including highlighting alleged breaches of labour laws and related concerns. He wrote a book addressing those issues and co-founded a youth action group called Youth for Justice, which focuses on civic and social campaigns.
