Kapil Sharma was born on 2 April 1981 in Amritsar, Punjab, India. Raised in a lower middle-class family, he completed his schooling at Shri Ram Ashram Senior Secondary School, Amritsar, and attended Hindu College, Amritsar, and Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar, from where he graduated.
