Karthik Varma Dandu was born on 2 March and grew up in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. He attended St Aloysius’ Anglo-Indian High School and went on to pursue higher education at Usha Academy in Rajahmundry and Andhra University in Visakhapatnam. He completed a graduation degree at Andhra University and later earned an MBA in Finance from AQJ Centre of PG Studies. His mother encouraged an early interest in reading, and as he got older he developed a taste for films, especially horror.
