Kartik Aaryan was born Kartik Tiwari on 22 November 1990 in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. Raised in a middle-class family, he attended Kiddy's School and St. Paul's School in Gwalior before moving to pursue higher studies. He enrolled at DY Patil College in Navi Mumbai and studied biotechnology, leaving his engineering degree during the third year when he was cast in his first film; he later returned to complete the final-year exams.
