Early life and background
Karunesh C. Talwar was born on 2 October 1991 in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. Raised in India, he developed an early interest in performance and music; he enjoys singing and playing the guitar. His mother is Sarita Talwar and he has a sister named Vidhi Talwar.

Karunesh is a Libra by birth sign and follows a non-vegetarian diet. He stands around 176 cm (approximately 5'8") and his listed weight is about 80 kg. He identifies as Indian and remains unmarried.

Career
Karunesh’s first taste of being on stage came when he was 18, after friends persuaded him to try a short set at a comedy club. He later worked as a comedy writer with Indian content houses including All India Bakchod (AIB) and Weirdass Comedy, which helped him develop material and stagecraft.

In 2011 he launched a YouTube channel under his own name to share comedy pieces and sketches. Over time his online presence grew, and he also built an audience on Instagram.

His formal stand-up debut came in 2016 when he premiered the show Paka Mat Na Mote in Hyderabad. That year he performed at the Bengaluru Comedy Festival and subsequently took live shows to a range of cities including Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Mumbai, London and Dubai. In 2015 he was among performers at The Weirdass Pajama festival in Mumbai, an event that brought together a large number of Indian comics.

Karunesh has toured both nationally and internationally and adapted to new formats during the COVID-19 pandemic, when he presented 25–30 shows online through Zoom. He has created multiple special-length shows: Pata Nahi Par Bolna Hai (2019) and Aalas, Motapa, Ghabraahat (2021) were released on Amazon Prime. Aalas, Motapa, Ghabraahat received a nomination for a Filmfare OTT award in 2021.
