Early life and background

Kashmira Shah was born on 2 December 1971 in Mumbai. Raised in a family with Maharashtrian and Gujarati roots, she is the granddaughter of classical singer Anjanibai Lolekar. She attended Princess High School in Mumbai and went on to graduate from Jai Hind College.

Kashmira began her journey in show business early, starting modelling assignments at 16 and earning recognition during her college years when she won a Miss University World title in 1993 and represented India at a pageant in South Korea.

Career

Kashmira transitioned from modelling into film and television. Her early screen work included a dancer role in the Telugu film Intlo Illalu Vantintlo Priyuralu (1996) and appearances on television in the mid-1990s. Her Hindi film acting credits include Yes Boss (1997), Pyar To Hona Hi Tha (1998), Hindustan Ki Kasam (1999), Dulhan Hum Le Jayenge (2000), Kahin Pyaar Na Ho Jaaye (2000) and Wake Up Sid (2009).
