Kaveri Seth was born in Gurgaon, Haryana, and grew up with ties to New Delhi, which is listed as her hometown. She completed advanced studies in the United States, earning an MFA in Dance, Design & Production with honors from Saint Mary's College, California. Her parents are Ravinder Pathela and Bharti Pathela, and she has a sister, Radha Pathela, who is a musician.

Career

Kaveri's performing-arts career began onstage. From 2015 she took part in theatrical productions in the San Francisco Bay Area, performing in plays such as Kanyadaan and Dance Like a Man under the Bay Area Drama Company. In Kanyadaan she portrayed the character Jyoti.

While pursuing post-graduate work in the U.S., she combined performance with technical stagecraft, contributing as a dancer, photographer and lighting designer for theatre productions. She is also a trained Bharatanatyam artist and has practised that classical form for more than a decade.

Kaveri moved into screen work in the late 2010s. In 2020 she appeared in the BBC One miniseries A Suitable Boy, where she played Shireen and also assisted filmmaker Mira Nair. That same year she appeared in the music videos Sweetheart and Center.

Her Bollywood debut came in 2023 with the film Gulmohar, in which she played the role of Divya. On that project she worked alongside established actors and has spoken about learning from colleagues during the shoot. Beyond film and television, Kaveri has modelled in campaigns for fashion and jewellery labels including Tilfi Banaras and House of Dhaaga, and has appeared in advertising and digital projects for brands such as Uber, Spotify, Coca-Cola, Asian Paints and CarDekho.
