Early life and background
Khushboo Kamal was born on 13 April 1987 in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. She completed a Bachelor of Technology in Chemical Engineering from the Bundelkhand Institute of Engineering & Technology (BIET), Uttar Pradesh. Before moving into acting full time, she worked briefly for Air Sahara (now Jet Airways).

Career
Khushboo began her performing journey in theatre in Lucknow, taking part in a three-month workshop that led to stage roles. Her theatre work has continued alongside screen projects; one of her stage appearances was in the psychological thriller Murder in the Shimla School, staged at Veda Factory in Mumbai on 18 April 2023.

Her first film credit came in 2010 with Dabangg, in which she appeared as a journalist. Over the following years she took supporting roles in a range of Bollywood productions, including Ankur Arora Murder Case (2013) as Rosina D’Costa and a nurse in Krrish 3 (2013). Her later film work includes roles in Rambhajjan Zindabaad (2020) and Satyameva Jayate 2 (2021).

Khushboo has been visible on television across episodic and recurring parts. She made an episodic appearance on Savdhaan India and played roles in series such as Piya Ka Ghar Pyaara Lage (in which she appeared as Pinky Malhotra), Bharat Ka Veer Putra – Maharana Pratap (2015) as Maharani Karnawati, Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain! (2016), Jijaji Chhat Per Hain (2019) as Gulabia, Barrister Babu (2021) as Rimjhim Das, and May I Come In Madam? season 2 (2023) as Bably.
