Khushi Kapoor was born on 5 November 2000 in Mumbai, Maharashtra. Raised in a family long connected to the Hindi film industry, she spent her childhood in the city she still calls home. She attended École Mondiale World School and Dhirubhai Ambani International School in Mumbai, and later took an acting course at the New York Film Academy in 2019.

Her parents are producer Boney Kapoor and the late actress Sridevi. Khushi is the younger sister of actress Jahnvi Kapoor and has other siblings from her father’s earlier marriage, including actor Arjun Kapoor and Anshula Kapoor. Her paternal grandfather, Surinder Kapoor, helped introduce the family to Bollywood and is part of the family’s multi-generational film legacy.
