Early life and background

Kira Rudik was born on 14 October 1985 in Uzhhorod, then part of the Ukrainian SSR in the Soviet Union. She is Ukrainian by nationality and completed her undergraduate studies in computer science at the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy. She later earned a master's degree in information control systems and technologies from the same university and took part in the Stanford program for women leaders in 2018.

Career

Rudik began her professional path in technology. Her early roles included quality assurance work at TAIN Ukraine beginning in 2006. She gained international experience as a software tester at MiMedia in Brooklyn between 2010 and 2013. In 2013 she co-founded TechTeamLabs in Ukraine and led project management there for several years.

After moving into product and project roles, Rudik worked at Open Influence in Greater Los Angeles and then took on executive responsibilities as chief operating officer of Ring Ukraine starting in September 2016. At Ring Ukraine she oversaw multiple operational areas including research, finance, public relations and human resources; the company later became known for security systems and smart doorbells and was acquired by a U.S. company in 2018.

Rudik entered formal politics in 2019. That year she stood for parliament on the Voice party list and was appointed as a member of the Verkhovna Rada.
