Early life and background
Kiran Abbavaram was born on 15 July 1992 in Peddakalvapalle, a small village near Rayachoti in Andhra Pradesh. He spent his childhood in a rural setting he has described as having very few houses, where community viewing of films on television was part of everyday life. His parents worked as farmers. Kiran attended Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya in Madanapalle and later studied at Madanapalle Institute of Technology & Science, from which he earned a Bachelor of Technology degree.

After completing his studies he moved into the IT sector and worked as a network consultant in Bengaluru for about three years. During this period he continued to watch films and develop an interest in performance and storytelling, which ultimately led him to pursue a career in the film industry.

Career
Kiran’s entry into acting began with a short film in 2016, when a friend cast him in the lead. That experience convinced him to leave his corporate job and focus on cinema full time. He made his feature film debut in 2019 with the Telugu drama Raja Vaaru Rani Gaaru, playing the character Raju.

Following his debut, Kiran balanced acting with writing. In 2021 he wrote and starred as Kalyan in SR Kalyanamandapam. The next year he appeared in multiple projects: Sebastian P.C. 524, where he played Sebastian, and Sammathame, in which he portrayed Krishna. He also wrote and acted in Nenu Meeku Baga Kavalsinavaadini (2022), taking on the role of Vivek.

In 2023 Kiran led the film Vinaro Bhagyamu Vishnu Katha as the protagonist Vishnu. Across these films he has often chosen roles in mainstream Telugu productions and contributed to scripts, establishing himself as both an actor and a writer in the regional industry.
