Kiran Mane was born on 5 April in Baramati, Maharashtra, and grew up in the same region. He attended Bharat Mata Vidya Mandir in Satara and later studied at Satara Polytechnic College in Songaon. Before committing to an acting career he ran a roadside business called Kiran Automotive to support his family, then enrolled in an acting workshop led by Satyadev Dubey and began working in theatre.

Mane’s early career was rooted in theatre. He acted in, wrote and directed stage productions and appeared in numerous Marathi plays including Perfect Mismatch, Shree Tashi Sou, Govind Ghya Gopal Ghya, Manomilan, MaayLeki, Chal Tuji Seat Pakki, Ulat Sulat, Jund and Ti Geli Tevha.
