Kirti Kulhari was born on 30 May 1985 in Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan. Raised in a family with military connections, her father served as a commander in the Indian Navy. She grew up in Jhunjhunu and attended Kendriya Vidyalaya there. Kulhari pursued higher education and completed a post-graduate qualification in Journalism and Mass Communication.

She has two elder sisters and a younger brother. Her sisters are Kiran Kulhari, who works as a teacher, and Kanchan Kulhari, who is a pathologist in the Indian Army. Her brother, Sandeep Kulhari, serves as a captain in the Merchant Navy. Kulhari’s grandparents are named Bhadar Ram and Meko Devi.
