Kishori Godbole was born on 15 December 1976 in Nashik, Maharashtra. She completed her schooling at Parle Tilak Vidyalaya English Medium School in Mumbai and Marathi VidyaNiketan High School in Belagavi, Karnataka. She attended the University of Mumbai and earned a graduation in Action Management between 1995 and 1998.

Career

Godbole began performing on stage while at college, participating in theatre productions as well as dance and modelling events. She made her television debut in 1997 with the Hindi show Chutki Bajake and entered films with a role in the 1999 Hindi film Kohram, in which she appeared as Bharti.

Across the 2000s she built a steady body of work in Marathi cinema, appearing in titles such as Ek Aur Visphot (2002), Khabardaar (2005), Majha Navra Tujhi Bayko (2006), Baba Lagin (2007) and Full 3 Dhamaal (2008). On television she has been part of many series in both Marathi and Hindi, including Hudd Kar Di (1999), Adhuri Ek Kahani (2004), Ye Meri Life Hai (2004) and the spoof comedy Rin Ek Do Teen (2008) on StarPlus. In 2011 she hosted the Sony SAB show Happy Housewives Club.

Her television work continued through the 2010s with roles in Mrs Tendulkar (2011), Madhuri Middle Class (2013), Khidki (2016) and Mere Sai-Shraddha Aur Saburi (2019). She has also performed in theatre throughout her career and trained in Indian classical dance, presenting live stage performances.

Beyond film and serials, Godbole has appeared in several television commercials for national brands, including Dabur Chyawanprash, Coca-Cola, Moov, Ariel, Cadbury and Johnson’s Baby Oil. Her on-screen work and stage contributions have been recognised with acting awards.
