Krishna Mukherjee was born on 12 August 1992 in Ludhiana, Punjab. Raised in a family that supported her artistic interests, she developed a love for dance at a young age and trained formally after finishing school. She completed her education up to Class 12 at BCM School on Pakhowal Road in Basant City, Ludhiana, and later moved to Delhi to study various dance forms at a local academy.

Career

Krishna began her professional journey as a dancer. She joined Ashton Lobo’s theatre group at Kingdom of Dreams in Gurugram and performed in live musical theatre, including the Bollywood musical Jhumroo Broadway. While working as a dancer she was encouraged to audition for television and landed the role of Sheena in Channel V’s Jhalli Anjali (2014), which marked her television debut.

Following her debut, Krishna appeared in several episodic shows in 2015, including Yeh Hai Aashiqui, Twist Wala Love and MTV Big F. Her breakthrough came with the role of Aliya Raghav on Star Plus’ Yeh Hai Mohabbatein (2016–2019), a part that significantly raised her public profile. After that, she appeared in Naagin 3 (2019) as Taamsi and featured in music videos such as Guru Randhawa’s Punjabi song "Black" (2019) and Prabh Gill’s "Ik Wari" (2020).

In 2021 she joined the Naagin universe again for the spin-off Kuch Toh Hai: Naagin Ek Naye Rang Mein, playing Priya Raheja Singhania. She continued to work on television, taking on the role of Shagun Shubh Jaiswal in the serial Shubh Shagun (2022). In addition to acting, Krishna has been featured in television advertisements and has promoted brands on her Instagram account, including Garnier, Nivea, Flite, Secret Temptation and Ponds.
