Kriti Vij was born in New Delhi in 1990 and grew up in the city she continues to list as her hometown. She attended GD Goenka Public School in New Delhi and later pursued studies in fashion design at Raffles Design, Fashion Designing Institute in Mumbai. Her family includes her father Naveen Vij, identified as an architect, her mother Kavita Vij, and a younger brother, Kunal Vij, who lives in Germany.

Career

Kriti began her on-screen journey with the 2013 short documentary Humsafar, released on YouTube by Uncommomsense Films. The film made rounds on the festival circuit and brought early recognition to those involved. After that debut, Kriti moved into series and episodic work, building a steady presence on digital platforms.

In 2015 she was cast as Tara Brara in the youth-oriented web series Baked, a role she has described as special and fun to perform. Over the following years she took on a variety of parts in short-format and series work: she appeared as Shreya in the comedy-drama What the Folks (2017) and as Aashna in the television series 2by3 (2017).
