Early life and backgroundKuldeep Rampal Sen was born on 22 October 1996 in Rewa, Madhya Pradesh. Raised in a family of five children, his father Ram Pal Sen worked as a barber and his mother Geeta Sen managed the household. Kuldeep attended Awadhesh Pratap Singh University in Rewa and grew up in the same town where he began his cricket journey.
He began playing cricket at a young age and joined Vindhya Cricket Academy in Rewa as a teenager. Local coaches and players noticed his pace and potential early on. His coach at the Rewa Cricket Academy, Aril Anthony, provided extended support, including free coaching while helping Kuldeep iron out technical issues in his bowling action over several years.
Career
Kuldeep is a right-handed batter and a right-arm fast bowler who represents Madhya Pradesh in domestic competitions. He made his first-class debut for Madhya Pradesh in the Ranji Trophy on 1 November 2018 against Tamil Nadu. He produced notable domestic performances, including a Man of the Match display in an Elite B Ranji Trophy fixture against Punjab where he took seven wickets across the match.
He made his Twenty20 debut for Madhya Pradesh on 24 February 2019 during the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and his List A debut on 25 September 2019 in the Vijay Hazare Trophy against Tripura.
In February 2022, Kuldeep was purchased by the Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League auction for the 2022 season. He wears jersey number 22 in the IPL. That same year he earned selection to the Indian squad for the Asia Cup 2022 as a replacement for another fast bowler.
