Early life and background

Kumar Saurabh was born on 12 September 1992 in Faridabad, Haryana, and grew up with roots in Katihar, Bihar. He completed a graduation in Political Science from D.S. College in Katihar and later trained in acting at the Madhya Pradesh School of Drama in Bhopal. During his early years after college he was active in community theatre in Katihar and worked with a mentor, retired professor Robin Das, with whom he performed plays in Delhi.

Career

Saurabh moved to Mumbai in 2014 to pursue screen acting. He began appearing in television programs such as Crime Patrol and made his television debut on Star Plus in the serial Tere Sheher Mein in 2015. He transitioned to films the following year, appearing as Shani Baba in the 2016 drama Laal Rang and taking roles in other features including Veerapan and Dongri Ka Raja.

Across the late 2010s and early 2020s Saurabh steadily expanded his screen work with parts in short films and mainstream features. In 2017 he performed in a Ram Gopal Varma short titled The Foreigner and appeared in Baaraat Company. He had a small role in the 2018 commercial film Baaghi 2 and was seen in another short titled Sax by Julius that year. In 2019 he played a supporting role in Blank alongside Sunny Deol.
