Career
Kunal Bahl began his entrepreneurial journey with classmate Rohit Bansal. The two founded Jasper Infotech in 2007, initially operating in the discounts and coupons space. Facing financial strain in 2009, they drew on personal savings to keep the business running. In 2010 they launched Snapdeal, which started as a coupons platform and then pivoted to a marketplace after studying large e-commerce models abroad.
Under Bahl’s leadership, Snapdeal grew into one of India’s prominent online marketplaces. In 2015 he and Bansal launched Titan Capital, a vehicle to back entrepreneurs and scale businesses. His investment activity spans more than 100 technology companies across India, the United States and Southeast Asia, with interests in consumer internet, fintech, AI, deep-tech and direct-to-consumer brands. Some of the companies associated with his investments include Ola, Urban Company, Razorpay, OfBusiness and Mamaearth.

He has served as an independent director of Piramal Enterprises Limited and as a director of Investcorp India Acquisition Corp. He was an elected member of the board of governors of the Indian Council for Research on International Economic Relations and has served on industry bodies: in 2019 he joined the NASSCOM Executive Committee, and in 2020 he was appointed chairman of the Confederation of Indian Industry’s E-Commerce Committee. He was also named to the National Startup Advisory Council to advise government on strengthening India’s startup ecosystem.
