Lee David was born on 3 March 1994 in Incheon, South Korea. He grew up in Incheon and is known to be South Korean by nationality. From a young age he entered the entertainment industry, appearing on television in the early 2000s while still a child. He studied at the Korean Academy of Film Arts, a training background that supported his development as a screen actor.

Career
Lee David made his television debut in the KBS1 series TV Novel: Flower Story in 2001 and began taking parts in short films and feature productions through the next decade. Early short-film credits include A Stirring Ripple (2005), Platform (2006), Mighty Man (2006) and Infernal Affair (2009). His first film credit listed is the 2006 feature The King of Headbutts.
