Mahek Ali Bukhari was born on 22 May 1999 in the United States. Her family moved to Pakistan when she was an infant and later relocated to the UK, eventually settling in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire. Three further defendants were found guilty of manslaughter, and one defendant was acquitted of both murder and manslaughter. The convicted defendants were remanded into custody and scheduled for sentencing in September 2023.
