Mahender Singh Dhaka, commonly known simply as Mahender Singh or by the nickname Mahi, was born on 10 December 1996 in Mandi, Himachal Pradesh. He grew up in Mandi and attended GSSS Ghasnoo High School in Bhadyal, Balh, Mandi, before moving on to the Government Post-Graduate College in Bilaspur for higher studies. He is Indian by nationality and his zodiac sign is Sagittarius.

Career
Mahender made his mark as a left-cover defender in kabaddi. He began appearing on the Pro Kabaddi League radar in 2017 when Bengaluru Bulls selected him for season 5. His performances for Bengaluru Bulls across multiple seasons earned him retention by the franchise through successive years, and he was appointed captain of the Bulls for season 9 of the Pro Kabaddi League, held in Mumbai in 2022.

Alongside his Pro Kabaddi League career, Mahender has been an active member of the Services Sports Control Board kabaddi setup.
