Mandar Jadhav was born on 16 November 1987 in Mumbai. Raised in a family with strong ties to the entertainment industry, he attended Shardashram Vidya Mandir International School and later graduated from Doongasree Gangji Ruparel College of Arts, Science and Commerce in Matunga, Mumbai. Acting runs in his family: his father Subhash Jadhav worked as an actor and director, his brother Meghan Jadhav is also an actor, and his wife, Mitika Sharma Jadhav, works in the same profession.

Career

Mandar made his film debut at age 20 with Say Salaam India (2007), appearing as the character Viru. Following that early film experience, he established a steady presence on television, taking parts in mythological and historical dramas as well as episodic shows.

He gained recognition for portraying Lord Gurudev in the mythological series Shree Guru Dev Dutta. Over the next several years he appeared in projects such as Mahavir Hanuman (2009), Veer Shivaji (2011), and the 2015 productions Razia Sultan and episodes of anthology programmes including Pyar Tune Kya Kiya and Savdhan India.

In 2020 Jadhav stepped into a lead role on Marathi television as Jaideep in Sukh Mhanje Nakki Kay Asta, a part that brought him wider visibility in regional television. That same year he appeared in the short film Frozen Tears, playing an architect; the film received multiple festival awards and was selected as an Indian entry to the Lift-off Film Festival at London’s Pinewood Studios.
