Early life and background

Mani Chandra was born on 16 June 1994 in Bangalore, Karnataka. Raised in his hometown of Bangalore, he completed his schooling at Newton Public High School and later earned a B.Com degree. He is the son of Ramesh Chandra and Shibha Chandra and has two siblings: a brother, Ravi Chandra, and a sister, Nisha Chandra.

Career

Mani built his career as a dancer and choreographer largely within the Tamil television and entertainment industry. He first came to broader attention through reality dance programming. Early in his TV career he appeared on Maanada Mayilada Season 10 in 2015, a show that aired on Kalaignar TV.

A significant milestone came when Mani and his partner Felina competed in Jodi Season 9 (2016–2017) on Vijay TV and won the competition. Around the same period he was a semifinalist on Kings of Dance Season 1 (2016–2017), also on Vijay TV. These appearances helped establish him as a recognizable performer in the Tamil dance scene.
