Early life and background

Manju Pathrose was born on 27 February 1986 in Kizhakkambalam, Kochi, Kerala, into a middle-class family. She is the daughter of Pathrose and Reetha and has one brother. Raised in and around Kochi, she attended Bethlehem Girls High School, Njaralloor, and went on to graduate from Bharata Mata College, Ernakulam. From an early age she enjoyed dance, studying multiple styles, and lists travelling, reading and writing among her hobbies.

Before pursuing acting full time, Manju worked as a teacher at a private school in Kerala.

Career

Manju’s on-screen career began with a film audition in 2003 for director Lohithadas. She was cast in the Malayalam film Chakram in the role of Madhavi, marking her feature-film debut. Over the years she has appeared in a number of Malayalam films, including North 24 Kaatham, Jilebi, Kammatipaadam, Thottappan and Kalyanam.

Her television presence started in 2012 when she participated in the family reality show Veruthe Alla Bharya.
