Marina Abraham Biography

Marina Abraham Sahni is an Indian actress and TV personality known for lead roles in Telugu television serials and for creating lifestyle content on YouTub

Early life and background

Marina Abraham Sahni grew up in Goa and later moved to Hyderabad after completing her Class 10 to pursue higher education. She was raised largely by her mother, Juliana Abraham, after the early death of her father. Her mother worked in education, initially as an English teacher and later as a school principal in Hyderabad. Marina completed her graduation in Hyderabad.

Marina has described herself as a spirited child who was pampered by her family. She identifies as a non-vegetarian and counts watching movies, shopping, and going out for drives or lunches with her husband among her favorite pastimes.

Career

Marina began her screen career after a family acquaintance in the entertainment industry offered her a role. What started as a way to earn pocket money evolved into a full-time profession. She first appeared on television in the Telugu serial America Ammayi (2015), playing Samantha Williams Vajrapati, a young woman raised in America who seeks to reunite her mother with her family in India. The series aired on Zee Telugu from July 2015 to July 2018 and brought Marina wider recognition.

Her first film role was a lead in the Telugu movie Romance with Finance (2016). She later appeared in the Hindi film Sab Ka Dil Khush Huva (2016). Following her film debut, Marina found steady work on television. She took part in the dance reality show Dance Jodi Dance (2018) on Zee Telugu and played the lead role of Kavya in the Star Maa soap Siri Siri Muvvalu (2019). In 2019 she also assumed the titular role in the Zee Telugu serial Prema.

Marina and her husband Rohit Sahni, who is also an actor, have appeared together on several television reality programs. The couple competed on Star Maa’s Ishmart Jodi (2020), a show that paired celebrity couples for lighthearted challenges. In 2022 they were contestants on Bigg Boss Telugu season 6. The pair are among the few celebrity couples to appear together as contestants on that series.

YouTube and digital presence

Beyond acting, Marina is a content creator on YouTube. She launched two channels: Marina’s World in 2020 and Marina And Rohit Diaries in 2021. The couple’s vlogs document aspects of their daily life. Their early uploads gained significant traction; a Vinayaka Chaviti vlog titled World Famous Laddu uploaded to their channel in August 2020 reached 100,000 views within two days. The channels surpassed 100,000 subscribers by December 2020, earning a Silver YouTube Play Button. Her social media is managed by Sahni Studio.

Public profile

Marina is known on screen as Marina Abraham and, after marriage, as Marina Abraham Sahni. She has been referenced in media as a lookalike of actress Nazriya Nazim. In 2017 she was named among Hyderabad Times’ Most Desirable Women on TV. She stands about 5 feet 4 inches tall (approximately 163 cm) and has black hair and black eyes.

Personal life

Marina is married to actor Rohit Sahni. Her mother, Juliana Abraham, remains a central figure in her life and continues to care for the family’s adopted dogs. Marina has spoken about adopting two pets—a Pomeranian and a local street dog—and encourages adoption over buying pets.

Latest updates

Marina continues to work in Telugu television and to create vlogs with her husband that focus on lifestyle and personal moments. Her appearances on reality shows alongside Rohit have kept the couple visible to regional television audiences, while their YouTube channels provide a direct connection with fans.
