He grew up in the same region and later attended Kurukshetra University and the State Institute of Film and Television in Rohtak. Masoom began his recorded career with a debut album titled Jalwa Haryana in 2009. Although that first album did not make a major impact, he continued working in the regional music scene and co-founded a music company, GV Videos, with a friend to help distribute his work.
