Early life and background

MC Stan was born on 30 August 1999 in Pune, Maharashtra. Sources give his real name as Altaf Tadavi, with some reports also referring to him as Altaf Shaikh. He grew up in Pune and identifies as Muslim. From a young age he was involved in musical performance: by the age of 12 he was performing Qawwali, and he later explored B-boying and beatboxing before committing to rap. His elder brother played a role in introducing him to rap music, and he has cited artists such as 50 Cent and Eminem among his influences.

Career

MC Stan began releasing music in the late 2010s. His debut song, "Wata," was released in 2018, and his first album Tadipaar arrived in 2020. He followed that with further releases and a second album, Insaan, in 2022. Several of his tracks that gained attention include Khuja Mat (2019), Snake (2021), Ek Din Pyaar (2021), Broke Is A Joke (2021) and Basti Ka Hasti (2022).
