Early life and background

Mohit Nandal was born on 1 November 1998 in Nandal village, Rohtak, in the Indian state of Haryana. Raised in the Rohtak area, he attended Modern High School before moving on to All India Jat Heroes Memorial College in Rohtak. He comes from a local family and has a younger brother named Sachin Nandal.

Career

Mohit developed as a kabaddi player from a young age and trained under coaches including Bhupender Singh and Shiv Kumar. He plays as a right-cover defender and made his Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) debut with the Haryana Steelers in Season 8 (2021).

In the 2021 PKL season, Mohit appeared in 22 matches and recorded 42 tackle points, with a tackle success rate reported at 45 percent. The following year he was retained by the Haryana Steelers for Season 9 (2022) with a retention fee of Rs 8.80 lakhs. During that season he played 21 matches and earned 44 tackle points from 88 total tackle attempts.

Mohit continued with the Haryana Steelers into PKL Season 10 (2023), when he was again retained by the franchise. In Season 10 he shared captaincy duties for the team alongside Jaideep Dahiya. At the national level, he was part of the squad that won a gold medal at the 37th National Games in 2023.
