Murali Sharma was born on 9 August 1972 in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh. He grew up in a household with mixed Marathi and Telugu roots: his father was Marathi and his mother Telugu. Sharma completed his graduation and then earned a diploma in acting from the Roshan Taneja School of Acting in Mumbai. From an early age he participated in stage plays and developed an interest in films and performance.

Career

Sharma began his on-screen career in the late 1990s with television work. One of his early TV appearances was as Doctor Salim in the series Ghar Jamai (1997), and he went on to appear in serials including Saaya (1998), Rishtey (1998), Laagi Tujhse Lagan (2009) and Paltan Meri Shaan (2015). His film debut in Hindi came with Dil Vil Pyar Vyar (2002).
