Early life and background

Nadia Hussain Khan was born on 11 January 1979 in Lund, Sweden. She moved to Pakistan with her family at an early age and grew up in Karachi, where she attended Beaconhouse School and later studied dental sciences at Fatima Jinnah Dental College, earning a bachelor’s degree in Dental Sciences.

Career

Nadia began her professional life as a model after completing her A levels. Her first paid modelling assignment was a winter collection for a local clothing brand. She went on to appear in numerous print campaigns and magazine covers and became known as one of Pakistan’s first supermodels. Her runway work has included appearances for leading Pakistani designers.

Alongside modelling, Nadia expanded into television and acting. Her television debut came in 2007 with the drama Manay Na Ye Dil, and she has since appeared in Urdu dramas including Ishq Junoon Deewangi (2009), Noor Bano (2010), Ladies Park (2011), Kitni Girhain Baaki Hain (2011) and Mithu Aur Aapa (2014). She also acted in the 2021 short film Madam.
