Early life and background

Nagabhushana N S was born on 17 August 1986 in Mysuru, Karnataka. Raised in a family from Mysuru, he attended Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya in Hondarabalu, Chamarajanagar, before going on to study engineering at Sri Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering (SJCE) in Mysuru. He is an engineering graduate and lists travelling among his hobbies.

Career

Nagabhushana began his professional life outside the entertainment industry, working as a Panchayat Development Officer. He later left that position to pursue acting, joining the theatre group GPIER led by Mime Rajesh. His screen debut came with the Kannada film Badmaash in 2016.

Alongside film roles, Nagabhushana helped launch a YouTube channel called Karnataka Entertainment Board (KEB) in 2016 with college friends. On that channel he and collaborators produced comedy videos that also addressed social themes; one sketch featuring actor-director Pawan Kumar and his wife drew notable attention online.

Across films and web projects, Nagabhushana has taken on a range of supporting and comedic parts. Notable film appearances include Johnny Johnny Yes Papa (2018), French Biriyani (2020), Petromax (2022), and Kousalya Supraja Rama (2023). He also appeared as an autorickshaw driver in the Tamil and Telugu versions of the film U Turn (2018).

He made his debut recognized at prominent regional ceremonies: he won the Best Debutant Actor (Kannada) award at the 10th South Indian International Movie Awards in 2022 for his role in Ikkat. That same year he received nominations for Best Supporting Actor at the 10th South Indian International Movie Awards and at the 67th Filmfare Awards South for his work in Badava Rascal.

Reports indicate he attempted to obtain medical help for the injured pair; one of the victims later died while the other was hospitalized with injuries. Authorities treated the matter as an accident and reported no evidence that he was under the influence of alcohol. An FIR was filed and he was later granted station bail on 1 October 2023.
