Naina Singh Chautala was born on 15 October 1966 in Daroli, Haryana. Raised in a family from the Hisar area, she completed schooling at Nur Niwas High School and FC School in Hisar before pursuing higher education at Kurukshetra University and Fateh Chand Women’s College, Hisar. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Kurukshetra University and an M.A. in Political Science from Fateh Chand Women’s College.

During her student years she was active in campus life — taking part in the National Cadet Corps and representing her university on the shooting team in inter-university competitions. Naina Singh Chautala entered active politics in 2014 and contested the Haryana Legislative Assembly election from the Dabwali constituency on an Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) ticket.
