Early life and backgroundNakul Vengsarkar was born in Mumbai, Maharashtra, in 1982 and grew up in a family with strong ties to Indian cricket and design. He attended Bombay Scottish School in Mahim and later studied at Kodaikanal International School in Tamil Nadu. For higher education in design, he went to Domus Academy in Milan, Italy.
Career
Nakul works professionally as an interior designer and architect and is also active as a photographer. He co-founded an architecture and interior design practice called NAD, a name formed from the initials of the founders Nakul and Ajay Hemmady with D standing for designs. The firm focuses on modular solutions for residential projects and master planning for gated communities.
Around 2009 Nakul turned more intensively to photography. Within a year of pursuing that interest he began exhibiting his images at national and international events. His photographic work covers a broad range of subjects including food, lifestyle, automotive, fashion, architecture and interiors.
