Narendra Singh Tomar was born on 12 June 1957 in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. He completed a Bachelor of Arts from Govt College Murar, Jiwaji University, Gwalior. Tomar comes from a Rajput family; his parents are Munshi Singh Tomar and Sharda Devi Tomar. He is married to Kiran Tomar since 6 December 1976, and the couple have three children: two sons, Devendra Pratap Singh Tomar and Prabal Pratap Singh Tomar, and a daughter, Nivedita Tomar.

Career

Tomar’s political life has been long-standing and closely tied to the Bharatiya Janata Party, which he joined in 1980. His early roles included leadership of the BJP Youth Forum in Gwalior and service as a councillor in the Gwalior Municipal Corporation.
