Early life and background

Natraj Master was born on 16 April 1982 in Hyderabad, Telangana. Raised in his hometown, he completed his primary and secondary education there before moving to pursue opportunities in the Telugu entertainment industry. He stands about 172 cm (5'8") tall and has black hair and black eyes.

Career

Soon after relocating to Hyderabad, Natraj supported himself with work that included waiting tables at a hotel owned by producer Sathyanarayana. That encounter proved pivotal: the producer noticed his talent for dance and helped him connect with Disco Shanti’s dance institution run by Srihari’s family. From that start he went on to teach at multiple dance schools across the city.

His first television exposure came in 2000 when he competed on Gemini TV’s Dance Baby Dance, advancing through several rounds. He later appeared on other regional dance reality programs, including an ETV Dance series. Natraj made his film debut in 2006 with the Telugu feature Veedhi and subsequently took supporting roles in other Tollywood productions such as Highway and Godiva.

Natraj’s association with the Zee Telugu dance franchise Aata marked an important stretch of his career. He performed at the AATA Season 1 finale in 2007 and joined AATA Season 2 in 2008, which he won. Following that victory he served as a mentor in Aata Season 3 and finished in third place with the contestants he guided. In 2009 he expanded into production with the Zee Telugu show Magadheera Dare to Dance and later worked as a judge, director and producer on shows for Gemini TV and Maa TV.

In 2021 Natraj reached a wider regional audience as a contestant on Bigg Boss Telugu Season 5, which premiered on 5 September 2021 on Star Maa and Disney+ Hotstar. He remained in the Bigg Boss house for four weeks before being evicted. He later participated in the Bigg Boss Telugu digital series Bigg Boss Non-Stop.
