Neeharika Roy was born on 9 November 2002 and grew up in Mumbai, Maharashtra. She attended Dnyan Ganga Education Trust School. From an early age she was drawn to performance, participating in school dance competitions and beginning to audition for acting work as a child.

Her parents are Mihir Roy and Dolan Roy. Religious devotion has been part of her upbringing: she is described as an ardent follower of Lord Ganesha and Baal Gopal, and visited the Kamakhya temple in Guwahati with her parents in 2007.

Neeharika's on-screen career began with child and early supporting appearances.
