Early life and background

Neha Dinesh Anand was born on 24 May 1991. Raised in a family with ties to the performing arts, her father Dinesh Anand worked as an actor before his death in 2001, and her mother Punima Dinesh Anand worked as a dancer and choreographer with Saroj Khan. Neha has two sisters, Jaya Anand and Anjali Anand, the latter of whom is also an actor.

Neha trained in aviation at Epic Flight Academy in New Smyrna Beach, Florida, completing her studies there between 2007 and 2011. She stands about 5 feet 9 inches tall (approximately 175 cm) and has identified as non-vegetarian in her personal preferences.

Career

Neha began her professional life as a commercial pilot. After that period she moved into the film industry, joining the production department at Yash Raj Films. Feedback from colleagues at the production company encouraged her to try modelling, and she left the production role to pursue work in front of the camera.

As a model she worked on print campaigns, television commercials and runway shows, including appearances at events such as the 2016 ILPA Fashion Show. Her screen career expanded into presenting; she worked as a sports presenter for Star Sports and covered events including Indian Super League fixtures.

Neha also explored music videos and films. In 2019 she appeared in the music video “I Think Delhi” by The Landers. She has discussed working on a Malayalam film that ultimately was not released because of disputes between its director and producer. In 2022 she appeared in a film titled Joon.
