Early life and background

Nidhi Kumar was born on 28 September 1995 in Dubai and grew up there. She completed her schooling at GEMS Our Own English High School in Dubai and later graduated from the Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Dubai Campus with a bachelor’s degree in media and communications, specialising in advertising and event management. From a very young age she was drawn to performance: she began dancing at four and by her early teens was travelling to Mumbai to appear on Boogie Woogie.

Career

Kumar built a multi‑faceted career in performing arts that includes dancing, choreography, acting, modelling and digital content creation. She started choreographing at 14 and by class 10 she had already choreographed a sangeet ceremony in the UAE. After finishing her degree she briefly worked at an MNC in the UAE but left after six months to pursue dance full time.

Her first notable on‑screen acting credit came in 2016 with the television programme Khwaabon Ke Darmiyaan. That same year she released a Bollywood‑style dance video to the song Kaala Chashma on YouTube; the clip went viral and became an early defining moment in her online presence. She followed that with choreography covers and other video work that increased her reach on platforms such as Instagram, TikTok and Facebook.

Across the late 2010s Kumar appeared in television commercials and worked as a presenter.
