Nikkhil Suresh Advani was born on 28 April 1971 in Mumbai, Maharashtra. Raised in a family with Sindhi and Maharashtrian roots, he attended Green Lawns High School in Breach Candy and later studied at St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai. He holds a master’s degree in chemistry. Advani’s parents were Suresh Advani, who worked in the pharmaceutical business, and Rekha Advani, who was active in advertising. Advani began his career in the early 1990s working in television and film as an assistant director. One of his first industry jobs was on the TV show Naya Nukkad (1993–1994).
