Nitin Rawal was born on 4 September 1996 in the village of Baapauli in Panipat district, Haryana. Raised in a sporting environment, he initially played cricket as a child before shifting his focus to kabaddi with support from his family. His performances in Under-14 and Under-17 competitions brought him to wider attention and led to selection for the SAI (Sports Authority of India) Centre in Gandhinagar under coach J. P. Singh.
