Palash Muchhal was born on 22 May 1995 in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. His family moved to Mumbai in 2006 to support the musical ambitions of Palash and his elder sister, Palak Muchhal. He completed a Bachelor of Commerce degree and grew up in a household focused on music: his sister is a professional singer and has played a guiding role in his development. From a very young age Palash showed an interest in music and joined Kalyanji-Anandji’s Little Stars group, where Anandji Shah mentored him and involved him in international musical projects.

Career

Palash’s first on-screen appearance came as a child actor in the historical film Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey (2010), in which he played the role of Subodh Roy. He later moved into composing and film music, making his debut as a composer with the 2014 film Dishkiyaoon; his sister Palak sang for him on that project. In the same year he contributed music to Bhoothnath Returns and Amit Sahni Ki List, and notable songs from this period include “Party Toh Banti Hai,” “Tu Hi Hai Aashiqui,” and “What The Fark.”

Palash has worked with established singers such as Arijit Singh, Mika Singh, and Javed Ali and has said that his work ethic helped him overcome early skepticism about his age.
