Pallavi Vengsarkar was born on 24 December 1989 and raised in Mumbai, Maharashtra. She attended Kodaikanal International School and Bombay Scottish School before moving on to St. Xavier’s College in Mumbai, where she completed a BA in Economics. She later pursued a Master in Management at Durham University in England. Pallavi comes from a Marathi Brahmin family; her father is former Indian cricketer Dilip Vengsarkar and her mother, Manali Vengsarkar, is a jewellery designer. She has a brother named Nakul Vengsarkar.

Pallavi began developing her modelling skills in 2008 when she joined Elite Model Management in Mumbai. Her early career included a behind-the-scenes stint in film: she worked as an assistant director with filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj on the feature film Kaminey, gaining hands-on experience in direction and production.

In 2014 Pallavi launched her own boutique, Pallavi Vengsarkar Creations, focusing on handcrafted leather goods, travel bags, and accessories.
